Establishment of Joint Venture with Digital China Group- Sales and support of software and software service in China -

SOFTBANK BB Corp. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Masayoshi Son, hereinafter “SBB”) announced that it has established a joint venture, Beijing Digital China BB Limited (Head Office: Beijing, China; Representative: Ma Guang) with Digital China Group (Head Office: Beijing, China; Representative: Guo Wei) on May 23, 2007, to sell and support software and software service through the Internet in China. This joint venture will develop its business through aligning with local companies in China.

Software market in China is developing steadily with a high growth rate, and further market expansion is expected through enhanced broadband environment. Digital China Group, one of China’s largest IT providers, has an actual achievement of sales and support of software and SBB, one of Japan’s largest distributors, has a rich know-how on electronic distribution of software and software services. Alliance between these two will enable both to deploy strategic development on software sales and software service in China under the growing market circumstance.

1.Business outline of Beijing Digital China BB Limited

(1) Support on purchase and management of software license

Allocate Japanese-speaking staffs to local corporations or affiliated companies of Japanese companies which develop business in China, and provide support on purchase and management of software license. Similar support is planned to be provided to local corporations and affiliated companies of Chinese companies which develop business overseas.

(2) Sales and management of software license using the Internet

Sell and manage software license using the Internet, for local corporations and affiliated companies of Japanese companies which develop business in China.

(3) Sales and support of software using the Internet

Provide software sales, both in package and download, and support for Chinese consumers.

(4) Provide software service using the Internet

Provide various business application software under SaaS^* model, such as network security service for small and medium sized companies in China.
