Handling Personal Information in Commerce & Service Business

1. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

SOFTBANK BB uses, jointly uses and provides to a third party personal information for the purpose of providing customers with IT distribution service in the following cases.

  1. 1) Purpose of Use of Personal Information

    1. 1. For handling inquiries from customers and provision of products and service by providing IT distribution service

    2. 2. For market research and analysis

    3. 3. For offering information on products, service, campaign and seminar of SOFTBANK BB and other companies

    Furthermore, in any case where personal information shall be used other than the purposes mentioned above, SOFTBANK BB will clarify the purpose of use and obtain prior consent from the customer concerned.

  2. 2) Shared information

    SOFTBANK BB jointly uses personal information obtained for the purpose of providing IT distribution service in the following cases.

    1. a. Parties jointly using information with SOFTBANK BB

      1. Group businesses of SOFTBANK BB
    2. b. Jointly used personal information
      Any personal information including name, e-mail address and corporate basic information (address, phone number, fax number and the like) that SOFTBANK BB acquires from customers in IT distribution service.

    3. c. Purpose of joint use

      1. For market research and analysis

    4. d. Chief Privacy Officer of jointly used personal information
      Supervisor of Information Security Management of SOFTBANK BB

  3. 3) Provision to Third Parties

    1. When SOFTBANK BB concludes that there will be possible detriment to a third party, SOFTBANK BB may notify the relevant third party, the police or related agencies of information provided by an individual. When any of court, Public Prosecutors Office, the police, bar associations, consumer affairs centers or agencies with equivalent authorities requires disclosure of the provided information of the relevant individual, SOFTBANK BB can disclose the information responding to the request or SOFTBANK BB may provide the information to protect rights and assets of SOFTBANK BB.

2. Disclosure, Correction and Suspension of Use of Personal Information

  1. 1) In cases where a customer requests SOFTBANK BB to notify the purpose of use of personal information, disclose or correct personal information that SOFTBANK BB has acquired from the relevant customer, SOFTBANK BB will reply in writing (however, if the relevant customer agrees on a different method, the relevant method shall be used). SOFTBANK BB may demand a fee within a reasonable range fairly considering the actual cost spent for the relevant replay.

  2. 2) Please contact the following for a request by a principal for disclosure and correction of personal information acquired by SOFTBANK BB from the relevant customer, and complaints concerning the handling of personal information.
